Hello faithful followers. It’s been awhile. I started out 2011 with the goal to blog every week but only if I had something to say. I didn’t want to be one of those bloggers who blathers about stuff just to say they blogged. And for the second half of 2011, I must not have had anything to say. J Except that’s not true. I had lots of stuff going through my head but it was mostly moaning about how HARD writing is. No one wants to hear that. You all know that already.

So, here it is 2012 already and by the way, how did that happen without my permission? 2011 was way too short. I wrote one less book than I planned. I didn’t sell like I’d planned. I did enter the Golden Heart like I planned and that’s great, but I did a lot of soul searching after several disappointing rejections in a row. See, I’ve never NOT been successful at something I really set my mind to. And I’ve been seriously pursuing publication for almost three years now. I had to ask myself – How badly do you want this? The answer? BADLY. I’ve wanted to be a published writer since grade school. So if what I’ve been doing isn’t working, maybe it’s time for a new approach.

I don’t know what that new approach is going to be yet. I just know it’s not going to be the same. In that spirit, I’ve updated my website, twitter page and facebook account. Look around and tell me if you like it! Then, once calls go out on March 26th to the Golden Heart finalists, I think I’ll be in a better position to put said new plan into action. Cross your fingers for me!
