Description
His team calls him the Saint.
Lieutenant Commander Charlie St. Croix is the guy in charge, the grownup in the room, the one who always does the right thing. Until now. He’s left his SEAL platoon behind for two weeks of downtime in the Caribbean. What better way to recharge than with Audra Reed, a hot redhead who’s a self-confessed adrenaline junkie?
The Saint’s ready to raise some hell. But is he ready to leave his heart behind?
This book originally appeared in the SEALs of Summer 3 boxed set.

The boat captain cut the engine and drifted to a stop about a hundred feet off the shore of Ilhota Rosa.
“We have to wade to the island from here,” Audra said, apparently okay with his lack of an answer, which was awesome. “The boat captain will be back to pick us up in a few hours.”
She untied the sarong and stuffed it in her bag along with her sandals, then hefted the strap to her shoulder as she clambered into the water barefoot without hesitation. God, that was sexy. Not just the bikini-clad body—which was so, so sexy—but the way she didn’t wait around for someone else to take the lead.
It was nice to give up the head spot. For once. Plus, he could watch Audra’s spectacular green-clad backside all day long. But that wouldn’t get him any closer to his beach fantasy.
Holding his own flip-flops aloft, Charlie followed. The warm water hit him thigh deep, wetting his board shorts. It was so clear, he could see the wide striations of color on the sandy bottom: deep blue where he stood, then lighter blue, then pink all the way to the beach, where the spun cotton candy color extended into the green tree line about a hundred yards from shore.
Up close, the island was even more odd and amazing. Like he’d been transported into an alternate upside down world where the colors ran riot according to some celestial hand that cared nothing for order. He loved it. Mostly because it wasn’t his chaos to sort out. Being the one in charge was a tension-inducing, daily nightmare that he’d gladly left behind for a while.
Audra waited for him on the beach, toes dug into the pink sand and a half smile on her face. “I forgot to ask. Are you a strong swimmer?”
“I’m okay,” he deadpanned as he stripped off his shirt.
Once, he’d jumped out of a helicopter into the Persian Gulf about three miles off shore and then swam until he hit his coordinates at the border of Kuwait and Iraq. In the dark.
She let her gaze wander down his body. “I had a feeling. Would it be too forward of me to ask if you’d rub sunscreen on my back? I have a hard time reaching it and Isaac always misses the spot between my shoulder blades.”
After that hot once-over, obviously he could only interpret “sunscreen” as code for “put your hands on me.”
“I thought you’d never ask,” he murmured and took the orange squeeze bottle from her outstretched hand.
She presented her back and gathered up her thick red curls, twisting them around her hands, binding them up against her crown and hell if that wasn’t a sexy picture. Carefully, he squirted out the most miniscule amount of lotion he could physically get on his hand and smoothed his palm down the line of her spine.
Dang. Looked like he’d run out of lotion. He dropped the bottle to the sand.
Her creamy skin was warm under his fingertips as he explored, running along the ridges of her shoulders and back down again. It was such a beautiful topography that he couldn’t help but want a small taste. He fitted his lips to the place on her neck just below her bound hands and she vibrated under his mouth. Her spine curved as she arched sensuously against him and took that as encouragement to put his hands exactly where he wanted them—on her.
Gripping her waist, he pulled her against his aching erection. She cradled it in the small of her back, pressing against it and teasing until he almost couldn’t take the raw need coursing through him.
“Charlie.” She moaned as he nuzzled her ear and then sucked the lobe between his teeth. “I thought you wanted to swim with dolphins.”
“Told you,” he mouthed against the shell of her ear where it most smelled like coconut and something flowery. “I added some other stuff to the list.”
